GEK TERNA has co-signed a donation agreement worth €3.8 million for the procurement and installation of a state-of-the-art Voice Communication and Recording System (VCRS) at Athens and Macedonia Area Control Centers of the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority.

The country’s largest infrastructure group responded to an invitation issued by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, in accordance with the applicable institutional framework, to the private sector for the supply of the VCRS system. Through this donation, we are contributing to the modernization of the communication systems of the Civil Aviation Authority, which play a key role in the safe and efficient operation of air traffic control,” stated Giannis Kourniotis, Chief Legal Counsel and General Director of Legal Affairs and Corporate Governance of GEK TERNA Group.

The signing ceremony was held in the presence of the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Dimas; the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Nikos Tachiaos; the Secretary General for Infrastructure, Dimitrios Anagnopoulos; and the Special Secretary for Hydraulic Works and Buildings, Charalampos Mygdalas.
