GEK TERNA Group, with the aim of providing all stakeholders with correct and transparent information on the value it creates across the entire range of its activities, conduct a special study, following the internationally recognized methodology of the “input-output model”, to determine the Social and Economic impact of its activities in Greece. The results of the relevant studies confirm the responsible attitude and contribution of GEK TERNA Group to the national economy and employment over time, while at the same time strengthening the collective efforts to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goal 8 on economic growth.

Dialogue with stakeholders
The Group, understanding the expectations of its stakeholders and wishing to respond to them, promotes the creation of mutual trust and confidence.
Consultation with the different stakeholder groups is carried out in a consistent and transparent manner in order to address the current challenges related to Sustainable Development. Through this communication, the Group’s understanding of important environmental and social issues is enhanced, which helps to successfully set the right priorities for the ESG strategy.
The Group identifies and prioritises its stakeholders according to their degree of influence and impact on the Group’s operations and vice versa.
CSR programmes
GEK TERNA Group actively supports the local and wider society through initiatives and actions that contribute to social resilience and prosperity. Its strategic objective is to establish long-term relationships with residents and stakeholders in the areas where it operates, based on trust and mutual benefit. To this end, it combines its initiatives with the needs of the area concerned and aims for an open dialogue with stakeholders. The Group improves the daily life of local communities, supports the younger generation, contributes to the care of socially vulnerable groups and strengthens the local economy and entrepreneurship, while always being present in response to crises and emergencies.
The social support programme implemented by the Group in 2025 amounted to 5.5 million euros, reflecting the organisation’s commitment to the principles of Sustainable Development, to strengthen its business activities, to meet the needs of its stakeholders and to defend the well-being of local communities.

Emergency Response and Recovery
The Group contributed to actions for the restoration and strengthening of infrastructure with a direct benefit for local communities. Indicatively, it supported the reconstruction of the Nea Penteli Indoor Gymnasium following its destruction by the forest fire in the summer of 2024. At the same time, targeted actions were implemented to support civil protection and public safety services, as well as to strengthen Traffic Police Departments along road axes managed by the Group.
Education and the Younger Generation
In 2025, GEK TERNA Group, through its sponsorship Program “Skillful Generation”, continued to invest steadily in education and in the development of young people’s skills, substantially strengthening the country’s future.
Strengthening Inclusion
The Group participated in the Philanthropy Awards 2025 “Heroic Hearts”, supported the Lara Guide Dog School and Blacklight initiatives that promote respect, accessibility and inclusion. These actions contribute to strengthening social awareness and promoting a more inclusive social environment.
Contribution to care for socially vulnerable groups
The Group participated in initiatives supporting vulnerable groups and households. Indicatively, it participated in the Christmas Telethon “We Are One”, which supported approximately 300,000 children, while also supporting Church social programs and actions to support vulnerable households.
The evaluation and monitoring of social contribution actions is based on the systematic recording of expenditures related to sponsorships, donations and infrastructure projects. This recording includes the amount of expenditure, the purpose of the action and the geographical area of implementation, while the actions are categorized by thematic area, such as education, health, culture, infrastructure and social support.
Through these actions, GEK TERNA Group strengthens the cohesion, resilience and development of local communities. Its social contribution is practical proof of its commitment to operating as a responsible social partner, creating value that extends beyond the boundaries of business activity and responds to society’s needs.
