Five hundred trees donated by TERNA to the Municipality of Thessaloniki have already been planted on the campus of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Through this initiative, Greece’s largest construction company — a subsidiary of GEK TERNA Group — aims to contribute to a shared yet demanding goal: enhancing the urban green assets that major cities like Thessaloniki so urgently need.
A single tree produces enough oxygen each day to support two people. With the planting of 500 trees — including wild cherry, ornamental plum, cedar and cypress — a valuable new green lung has been created for the city.
Improving quality of life forms an integral part of TERNA’s activities.
