Sustainable Development Strategy of GEK TERNA Group

The sustainable development strategy of GEK TERNA Group is based on continuous dialogue with stakeholders and the careful identification and assessment of the most significant economic, social and environmental impacts of its activities. The strategy focuses on maximising positive impacts and mitigating negative impacts through the implementation of best practices, sustainable initiatives and credible partnerships.

It is a dynamic approach that is constantly expanding and improving for the benefit of all stakeholders, including shareholders, investors, employees and society at large.


Strategic Axes

In the framework of its sustainable development strategy, GEK TERNA Group has identified three main strategic axes aiming to create long-term positive impacts at economic, social and environmental level. These axes, as reflected in the Group’s Sustainable Development Policy, focus on improving operational efficiency, reducing the environmental footprint, promoting social responsibility and strengthening corporate governance.

Material Topics

Through the Group’s material topics, the foundation is laid for its commitments in specific ESG action areas. In order to identify its material sustainability topics, the Group conducted a double materiality assessment, which incorporates both impact materiality and financial materiality.

Through this analysis, the Group aims to recognize the impacts of its business activities on the environment, society, and the economy, as well as the risks and opportunities that may arise.
