Following its designation as the provisional concessionaire in April 2024, GEK TERNA (Bloomberg: GEKTERNA GA / RIC: HRMr.AT) announces that it has signed today the concession agreement for the project of “Design, Construction, Financing, Operation, Maintenance and Exploitation of Chania- Heraklion section of the Northern Crete Motorway”.

The construction cost of the project is 1.75 billion euros, while the concession period is 35 years, of which five correspond to the design – construction period.

The total length of the Chania-Heraklion section stands at 187km, including the 30 km segment of Kissamos-Chania that is under contractual provision.
