The defense of the Health and Safety of employees is a matter of vital importance for the GEK TERNA Group. Certified Health and Safety Management Systems are implemented across the Group for everyone.

The main points of the Health Safety system applied by the Group include:

The GEK TERNA Group recognizes the importance of training and specialization and contributes to the education and development of its employees by systematically investing in general and specific training programs aimed at enhancing performance, upgrading technical skills, and improving their personal abilities.

In this context:

•  Created and operates the GEK_TERNA_Knowledge_Center. It is a modern e-learning platform for all employees, aiming to enhance the educational experience and provide the immediate information to learners.

 

• Provides exclusive sponsorship to the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) for the creation of the first Professional Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program entitled Infrastructure Construction Project Management, in which employees can also participate following a predefined assessment.

 

• Conducts a wide range of educational activities including training educational programs, seminars, conferences, professional certifications and subsidies for postgraduate programs.

 

• Provides specialized educational programs on Health Safety issues related to occupational hazards. Implements training on effective management of emergency incidents for all employees of the Group.

 

• Provides regular training programs on Quality topics

 

• Provides regular training on topics such as IT, IT security, GDPR and new technological applications

 

• Encourages the development of a lifelong learning culture Enhances training in thematic areas such as Soft Skills, New Technologies, and Human Rights It has an educational policy.

• The GEK TERNA Group seeks the continuous development and empowerment of its employees through the implementation of a performance evaluation system on an annual basis. The performance evaluation system for Human Resources applies to all employees of the Group, aiming at continuous improvement of their skills through achieving individual goals and merit- based recognition and rewards based on the results of each evaluation.

 

The Group ensures, among other things, the support for the institution of internal job transfers, in case existing employees – executives are interested in moving to positions they believe they can perform better in or even advance to higher hierarchical positions within the Group and its companies.

Since 2021, the GEK TERNA Group has established the Volunteer Blood Donors Association of
the GEK TERNA Group (Member of the National Register of Blood Donors) and its employees
participate in Volunteer Blood Donation Days, assisting in the challenging task of finding blood. Volunteer Blood Donation Days are held three times a year in Athens and at locations across Greece.
